im pretty sure that its "throng." this is because to rush, melt, and flood are all actions done by water, and "throng" does not mean this.

A flood is a gradual overflow of water that covers a large area, while a flash flood is a sudden and intense rush of water that can happen within minutes. To prepare for both types of flooding events, it is important to stay informed about weather conditions, have an emergency kit ready, create a family emergency plan, and know the evacuation routes in your area.
A flood can do major damage. The most critical time is that time before the water makes it impossible to save what might be saved. People, property and livestock might be saved by moving them to higher ground or out of the way of the flood. Before the flood occurs, many preparations for a flood can be done with no rush or pressure. When the flood arrives, it is most important to save lives. What can't be saved will be lost.
