Andrea Bocelli is a baritonal tenor. His voice has a great range from a high D (which he has sung onstage in songs lilke "Serenata" (Tosti) and "Tu che hai preso mi cuor") to notes as low as any baritone can achieve. This enables him to sing both bel canto tenore di grazia roles (like "Pour mon ame" with its 9 high Cs) and spinto roles like Turiddu in "Cavalleria Rusticana" and the lead role in "Andrea Chenier."
