"….Then comes the end, when he (Christ our King and ruler of the kingdom of heaven) delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power." (1 Corinthians) the bible clearly states at Ecclesiastes 9:5 that the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all; because the rememberance of them has been forgotten. So the bible teaches that when you die that you die and that is all...but in Revelation and also in some of Pauls writings the bible teaches of a Resurection into God's new Kingdom...some believe that this will happen after Armegedon or "the Apocalypse." So then the dead would be just waiting to be resurected...if you want to know more then you should research your bible some more.
