The minimum requirement to check balance on an ATM machine is that you possess a bank account that has an ATM Card and you remember your ATM PIN Number. If you have this, then you can check your balance as follows: a. Insert or Swipe your card in the ATM Machine b. Enter the PIN number (4 to 6 digits - depends on the bank) c. Select your language (If applicable) d. Select the service as "Balance Inquiry" in the services menu e. The machine will ask - "Do you want a printed advise?" - click yes if you want a printed statement. If you click No, the machine will show your balance on screen f. Click the "End" or "Cancel" button to finish your transaction g. Collect your card and leave the ATM
f I got your question right then a DD has been issued from bank XYZ in your name and you want to deposit it in ABC. I don't see a problem in this. If the DD only has your name on it you can deposit it in any bank where you have an account. While if the DD has your bank & account details printed along with your name then you have to deposit it in the same bank as mentioned in the DD.
