Technically, there is no such thing.

The routing table has several entries (think of them as lines); the individual LINES in the routing table can be static or dynamic; and the routing table in its entirety can have both types.

A static entry is programmed (hard-coded) by a network administrator.

A dynamic entry is one which the router learns from a routing protocol, such as RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, etc. The routers "talk" to one another, and tell one another that they have routes to certain networks; the router that receives such updates will update its routing table as a result. Such entries are temporary, and expire after a relatively short time.

What is the difference between dynamic strength and static strength?

well the static energy is the strength that resides in your body when you're not moving but dynamic energy is that the one occurs when you moving like swimming

What is the difference between dynamic implementation and linked list implemention?

The size or length of the list. For static, the size is a constant, while the size of a dynamic list may change over time. The 7 weekdays is static (in size/length, though the content is static as well), while the questions and answers at answers.com are 2 dynamic lists (the sizes are not constants, although just growing)

What is Difference between dynamic polymorphism and static polymorphism with example?

Static polymorphism is used the concept of early binding or we can say compile time binding where as dynamic polymorphism used the concept of late binding or run time binding.

What is Difference between static and dynamic pages?

Just what is the Difference Between a Static and a Dynamic IP Address you ask?Well the IP address from your ISP is assigned in just one of two ways:Set to an IP address which is unchanged for months or years at a time. This is what is called a static IP address.Set to an IP which is only good for a limited time, and which is changed according to the policy set by your ISP's DHCP server. This is what is called a dynamic IP address.Because a static IP can be relied on for an indefinite period, some networking software requires a static IP.ISPs usually charge extra for static IPs.Your ISP may not be willing to give customers static IP addresses at all.Dynamic IPs are used in large networks where computers are frequently reconfigured, or where a limited number of IP address are available to share between many computers.

What is difference between static and alternate routing in a circuit switching network?

Static routing is fixed, alternative routing is dynamic and therefore adaptive. If a primary route is fails, static routing will not adapt and routing is lost. However, alternative routing will dynamically change in order to maintain routing.

RIP is used in dynamic routing.

What is the general difference between a static IP and a dynamic IP?

The general difference between a static IP and dynamic IP is that a static IP is reserved and does not change. A dynamic IP on the other hand changes each time one logs on.
