What is Disney-Pixar's Up about?

Up, is about an old grumpy man named Carl Fredrickson who works at a zoo distributing balloons to children. He is grumpy because his wife, Ellie, made Carl promise to take them to Paradise Falls, a waterfall in South America, which their hero, Charles Muntz, discovered, but she died before they could go there. Retirement people are coming to pick him up and bring him to a retirement village after Ellie died, but he ties millions of balloons to his house and floats off to Paradise Falls. A boy scout named Russel, is on his porch as he floats off and he has to take him to paradise falls with him. While they are there they find a bird their that Muntz is trying to capture to clear his name of fraud. ( he found a skeleton of the bird while exploring Paradise Falls, and gets accused of fraud. he then swears to return to Paradise Falls and get the bird, alive.) Carl then tries to protect Kevin, (Russel named him that) to get him (who is actually a her) back to her babies.

5 star, very cute, hilariously funny, and tear-foggingly sad all at once.
