the Godzilla Series is about a radioactive lizard that terrorizes Tokyo all the time. Every movie has a different cast and different plots. The origin of Godzilla is even changed dramacitcally at times (at once he was a mutated iguana and another time he was a dinosaur called "godzillasaurus"). One of the only things that remains the same in the series is that there is a giant monster named Godzilla that attacks Japan.
