Yes a country can be a monarchy and a democracy because a country can be ruled by a king or a queen and still be a democracy. Like thailand it is ruled by a king or a queen but they are elected by the ppl. So the power still lies in thehands of the ppl :-)
I have no idea what so ever. I believe that a multiparty democracy is a country with a democratic goverment. And a constitutional monarchy is a monarchy in which the powers of the ruler are restricted to those granted under the constitution and laws of the nation. Hope that helps.
The evolution of a Monarchy, an Oligarchy, a Tyranny and a Democracy is a very long answer. Monarchy: The Monarchy's of the Greek city-states were born int the power over the land. Oligarchy: Oligarchy's were inherited into ruling their ancestors land and they were rich so it help them be able to rule. Tyranny: Tyrant's illegally rule a city-state because they murder the king so they can be in there place. Democracy: Citizens can vote on every issue, and or representative.
In the 1800s the states had governments such as Monarchy, Aristocracy, Oligarchy, Democracy, Direct Democracy, & Representative Democracy. Take note that these were Greek and Roman governments.
Well if you mean in terms of the USA mainly, it was monarchy meaning ruled by a powerful king. But once they declared independence from Britain, they became the first country to have an elected president in the government. So I suppose monarchy and other similar forms of government preceded democracy.
Democracy allows for more representation and participation from the people, leading to a more inclusive and diverse decision-making process. It also supports the principles of equality and individual rights, allowing for greater freedom and holding leaders accountable to the public. Monarchy, on the other hand, concentrates power in the hands of one individual or family, which can sometimes lead to inequalities and lack of transparency.
Athens, Greece was one of the birthplaces of democracy. Athenian democracy was a direct democracy in which every citizen voted directly on issues of importance, rather than electing representatives to vote for them.
The Monarchy is Head of State, Head of Government and exercises absolute control over the State and its people. There are no restrictions attached to the rule of the Monarchy. The system is Autocratic where supreme power is concentrated in the hands of one person, so that democracy through the vote is officially not available
It depends on the monarchy, but assuming a democracy, the monarch invites the leader of the winning party to form a government - so although, in principle, the monarch could pick anyone, in practise they pick the person who can command a majority of seats in the government.
