To reprogram a Honda ignition key you need to use a Honda-approved dealer. Only a dealer can reprogram or order a new ignition key for a Honda vehicle.
is key code located on ignition switch of 97 honda civic
You must push key and turn.
Yes, you can copy the key. There is no immobilizer chip in the key.
no i do not think a dealership could but you can call there
where the key goes or the whole starting system? if it's where the key goes .does the key go in and turn freely, or is there a hang up, if not it's not the ignition. what is it doing?
lock smith
but will second time start.
It all depends on the year. I have a 98 Accord and have found out that they can offer me a new Honda key for 15.00 and then you pay 80.00 to 100.00 to program it so your car can start with it. The dealer also offered me an after market key for 30.00 and then they read your original key's transponder and then clone it to the new key. The programmong of the key to the car other than cloning must be done with a Honda PGM tool or some other after market equivelant.Anyone who tells you that you can do a procedure like playing with the door lock buttons or swapping keys rapidly means well but thay are wasting your time. good luck.
It is telling you that you have left the keys in the ignition.
Could be a bad ignition switch
