Modern Japanese has three scripts: Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana. Kanji is the original script using Chinese characters, imported from Mainland Asia. Hiragana is a flowing script adapted from Kanji (and simplified) which is used for grammar and if you don't know the Kanji for a certain word. Katakana is like Hiragana, but very angular. This script is used for writing words that originate in another language, and the names of foreigners.

. this much i don't like Justin bieber but i like him very very very ... much
In hiragana, it is written: ねずみ
The character 'e' is written え in Hiragana.
If you mean 'do' like in 'door' it is written ド in katakana and ど in hiragana and pronounced just the same. If you mean like in 'to do' it is written ヅ in katakana and pronounced /dzu/ and づ in hiragana with same pronunciation.
There are three components to Japanese writing. The normal alphabet, hiragana, which has less strokes and is much curvier and more flowing; Kanji, which originated in china, and is more complicated and tends to be blockier and sharper, and katakana, which is for mimicking English and other foreign languages, as most of their sounds are hard t pronounce for Japanese people. Katakana is much like the hiragana, although sharper. hiragana: ひらがな kanji: 漢字 katakana: カタカナ
あIf you are writing hiragana then it would be like this あ. If you are writing katakana then it would be like this ア.
