Interview with the Vampire is just that - a young man - and we don't find out his name for another couple of books - does an interview with a vampire, Louis de Point du Lac. It goes over his two-hundred-some-odd year life, mainly involving his relationships with his maker, Lestat de Lioncourt, a child-vampire by the name of Claudia, and Armand - one of the oldest vampires alive, and stuck forever in a teenager's body.
It's a wonderful book, if you're into that sort of thing.
The main conflict in "Interview with the Vampire" revolves around the protagonist Louis' internal struggle with his vampiric nature and his desire for redemption. He grapples with the morality of his actions and his existence as an immortal being, leading to a constant battle between his humanity and his vampiric instincts.
There is not one conflict in the book but many
the book is telling the tale or as in the book the biography of Louis de pointe Du lac
a man who was turned into the living dead by the vampire Lestat de lioncourt
in this fictional biography Louis explains all his strife and struggles of his new life to a young journalist
he explains how he falls in love with Lestat and how that was a struggle considering Lestat was a malevolent cruel being and yet loved Louis back
how they created an immortal child Claudia
and how Louis struggled in thought that he was now damned
and would never be part of the divine
the story does not only focus on Louis
it also tells the struggles of everyone such as Claudia and how she would never be considered more than a child , never to have sexual intercourse how she longed to grow into a woman's body , how she remained a doll like child all the while her mind grew older and older with her true age
how both Louis and Claudia uprise against lestat in order to live a better life
how they travel to find more of there own
the story once again has not one but many conflicts.
