The Kingdom of God is Gods direct rule or government on earth, and his government will be manifest through Messiah Jesus (Ps 2); God will establish peace and judge (rule) the earth in righteousness (Psalms 98:9); God will hold every man accountable for the deeds of this life (Ezekiel 18:4); He will introduce a period of "restitution of all things" (Acts 3:21), that will ultimately result in the removal of the curse on mankind (Revelation 22:3); and finally, the Messiah will return in the Glory of God (Matthew 16:27). As He does, God's Glory will reside in Jerusalem in a way similar to the phenomenon which occurred in the wilderness as Israel came out of Egypt (Isaiah 4:5).

Human self-determination will end. "Every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:10-11). Israel will be the only national entity that survives in the kingdom. As God's elect nation, it will be exalted high above all the nations for praise, fame and glory (Deuteronomy 26:19).

AnswerLuke17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. In other words, find your true self, not what others want you to be.. AnswerJesus taught the disciples to pray, 'Thy Kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven.'

The kingdom comes is in the individual hearts. If you believe that Jesus is Son of God. And if you believe in Jesus as his true followers you will experience miracles.

Jesus is suppose to set up God's government and authority in the hearts of his followers. Jesus is suppose to go the wicked and kick them out of the religious houses. Now there was room for the blind and crippled to get in.

Quote:

Matthew 21:14) Jesus Christ himself became The Way, the entrance point not only into the temple, but into the Kingdom of God.

'Yes, if you embrace this kingdom life and don't doubt God, you'll not only do minor feats like I did to the fig tree, but also triumph over huge obstacles.' (Matthew 21:21).

Biblical AnswerThe Kingdom of God is indeed a tangible, physical realm. The Bible has a clear message that Christ will return to establish his Throne... read 1 Cor. 15. I believe that, just as the Jews in the 1st century were blinded and unable to see the metaphysical aspect of the Kingdom that Christ came the first time to establish, today many Christians have been blinded to the physical aspect that will include wrath as well as love and ultimate Glory of God.

ANSWER

The kingdom of God is the realm where God reigns... or rules.

Bible AnswerGod's Kingdom is a government established by God. At Gen 3:15, the very first prophecy of the bible pointed to a "seed" that would 'bruise the serpent in the head. The promise of that Seed provided a basis for hope that God would NOT abandon his original purpose for mankind, life on a earthly paradise. So this Kingdom, that is a REAL government that is already established in the heavens and its ruler is none other then Jesus Christ. It is through His rule and through His government that earth will be restored to Gods purpose of humans filling the earth. (Gen 1: 27,28) Some benefits of this Kingdom ruled by Jesus Christ will far exceed what any human rulership has tried to accomplish in mans history. Christ rulership will completely end DEATH our enemy.( Rev 21:3,4) No man will fear for his life due to WARS because under Christ rule wars will be wiped away. (Isa 2:4 & Ps 46:9,10 Mic 4:3) The ECONOMY and HOUSING will be plenty under this government for it is promised that "we will build houses and have occupancy and we will not toil for nothing."( Isa 65: 21-23) TRUE PEACE and SECURITY will reside in all the earth. (Mic 4:3, Prov 2:22, Hos 2:18) EMPLOYMENT will be plenty, everyone will work to satisfaction. (Isa 65:23) ANIMALS will no longer be abused but will live at peace. (Isa 65:25, Isa 11:6-9) LOVE will be the identifying mark that will be displayed on a worldwide scale. (John 13:35) Yes ONLY through Christ Kingdom Government will all mankind enjoy the real life on earth forever. (Ps 37 10,11,29) Even Jesus himself showed the importance of His Kingdom because he stated at Matt 5:5 that the mild-tempered ones will be happy because these are the ones that will inherit THE EARTH. Another truth about the Kingdom of God is that Jesus will not rule alone. He has chosen certain co-rulers to rule with him. Rev 14:1-4 shows that only 144,000 will rule with Christ and Rev 5:9,10 shows that these ones will help Christ rule OVER THE EARTH. The purpose of any government is to keep order and peace among the people. If there's no people, there's no need for government. So Rev 5:9,10 shows the great importance of Christ Kingdom government because He has designated these 144,000 co-rulers to help rule over righteous society that is on the earth which is Gods original purpose for mankind. In the very near future Dan 2:44 shows what Gods government will do, "And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will NEVER be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will CRUSH and put an END to all these (earthly) kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite." The Kingdom of God is a real government that will never have an end.

The "Kingdom of Heaven" is the phrase Matthew uses in his writing. The other three gospels relating the same account, through different perspectives, call it the "Kingdom of God."

They speak of the same coming "Kingdom."

"OF" means "FROM"... it indicates the "origin" of something... the place that something or somebody belongs to... not its location.

The Kingdom of Heaven is no more in heaven, than the Kindom of God is in God.

The Kingdom is coming to earth "from" God... and Jesus Christ will bring it to earth "from" heaven. Then the nations will see God's will done.

"...Thy Kingdom [of God from heaven] come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." (Matt.6:10)

Ultimately... the gospel [good news] regarding this Kingdom from heaven, that originated in heaven, is the first part of God's two-part promise to Abraham... to make of him; 1) a great nation, and 2) salvation for all the nations of the earth.

"For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith." (Rom.4:13)

"Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham." (Gal.3:7)

"And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." (verse 29)

It was Jesus Christ, the WORD of God, who was the Almighty Creator God of the "Old Testament" who made all things - [John 1:3].

It was He who called Abram to separate himself from his people... and it was He who made His covenant with Abraham, which was passed down through Isaac that all the generations of man might inherit through Christ.

To Isaac, the "WORD" of God reaffirmed to him his inheritance and the covenant promises He made to his father. Not because of any righteousness Isaac possessed... but because of Abraham's:

"...I will make thy seed multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because that Abraham obeyed My voice, and kept My charge, My Commandments, My statutes, and My laws." (Gen.26:4-5)

The "Kingdom of Heaven" [which is of God] is the coming restoration of that branch of God's Kingdom that has been in preparation since Satan's rebellion corrupted it here on earth in the beginning.

Jesus Christ has overcome Satan... and, through Him, His saints will overcome, qualify and restore the Kingdom on earth among the nations when the Father in heaven has determined that all of the its positions have been filled... and loving, qualified, wise, obedient, knowledgeable Government personnel who understand the requirements of God are prepared to judge, rule and save the world.

"In My Father's House are many mansions [rooms, chambers, offices, positions; see Jeremiah 35:2-4]... I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again..." (John 14:2-3).

The Kingdom of Heaven is God's promise to the world. He calls it "gospel" [GOOD NEWS]... though the god of this world hates it, and mankind is mostly blinded to it.

The majority of the denominations of modern professing Christianity are confused about it. Each denomination has its own idea about what it "might" be. The vast majority of them think the "Kingdom of Heaven" means "going to heaven"... when the words "go to heaven" [a phrase so commonly spoken and touted among professing Christians today] is nowhere found in the Bible... except for maybe Satan's heartfelt desire:

"...For thou hast said in thine heart, I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN..." (Isa.14:13).

Heaven was never promised to Abraham, the father of the "faithful"... the same promises that all Christians shall inherit: the Kingdom of God on earth and salvation when Jesus Christ returns.

Jesus Christ's throne isn't in heaven... that's where His Father's throne is.

Jesus' throne is DAVID'S THRONE: "...the Lord God shall give unto Him THE THRONE OF HIS FATHER DAVID..." (Luke 1:32)!!!!

David's throne is on the earth -- where God's will needs to be established and restored. Why don't the churches seem to know this... or acknowledge it?

Abraham was promised the earth... not heaven. The earth is where Jesus is coming back. If the errant belief of modern professing Christianity were true: that "people are immediately Judged and sentenced to heaven or hell at death" -- then there is absolutely no sane reason why Jesus needs to come back at all. To inconvenience all those gloriously happy souls in heaven... to haul them back down here to pick up the last few saints living on earth. Why?

And this false belief would also negate any need whatsoever for the biblically prophesied resurrection and Judgment Day at the end of God's plan.

The "Kingdom of Heaven" is God's Government coming "from" heaven... not "in" heaven to be established on earth to see to the establishment of God's will on earth.

It will be headed up by Jesus Christ and headquartered in Jerusalem where David's throne was.

"...it shall be in that Day, that Living Waters shall go out from Jerusalem... and the Lord shall be King over all the earth: in that Day shall there be One Lord..." (Zech.14:8-9).

"...When the Son of Man shall come in all His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne [David's throne] of His glory: and before Him shall be gathered all nations...

"...then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, Come, ye blessed of My Father, INHERIT THE KINGDOM PREPARED FOR YOU FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD..." (Matt.25:31-34).

The "Kingdom of Heaven" is the same as the "Kingdom of God." It's the "good news" from heaven that the days of the Satan-designed and guided governments of man on earth are numbered.

The prophecy of this Kingdom is the best news this world will ever hear:

"...God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be any more pain: for the former things are passed away... Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write, for these Words are True and Faithful." (Rev.21:4-5)

The "Kingdom of Heaven" is the hope of God's saints... and it shall be established on the earth whether anyone believes it or not.

Yea, they are the same.

Although the words are used interchangeably there is a technical difference:

"Of" is a preposition used to denote place or direction, e.g., The Kingdom "of" Heaven is located in a place called Heaven; "of" is also used to denote ownership, e.g, The Kingdom "of" God belongs to God. The technical difference between the two is that the "Kingdom of God" encompasses and includes all rightful citizens of His Kingdom, whether now in Heaven, or whether still physically alive on this earth.

The article on the kingdom of God is posted in the related links box below. Here is another answer: In his ministry, Jesus actually explained the Kingdom of God, or Heaven thusly: In the gospel of Luke, chapter 17,verse 21; ( I am paraphrasing ) Jesus said if you look for the Kingdom of God ( Heaven ), it is not over here nor is it over there. The Kingdom is in your heart. Inside your heart according to Christianity is where God dwells. It is not a literal place as Revelation explains, but only metaphorically in your self.

The Kingdom of God is the central message of the Bible - and so few realize or know of it. Consider this from Jesus referencing it:

Luke 12:32New King James Version (NKJV)

32 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

The holy men and women of Scripture spoke of the establishing of God's Kingdom quite often and eloquently. It will be a literal spiritual transformation of all Christians into the family of God as His immortal sons and daughters for eternity (see 2 Corinthians 6:18). This is God's main focus (read Daniel 2:44, Isaiah 11:6-9; 35:1-7).

According to the Bible, the Kingdom of God is significant because it's the only hope for mankind's survival. We are told to pray "...let your Kingdom come, let your will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven..." because it's by means of this kingdom that we will see an end to suffering and death among the human family, and the ultimate fulfillment of God's original purpose for the earth.(Revelation 21:3+4)

God, the creator, was the perfect original authority in the universe. Adam and Eve knew God to be the maker of heaven and earth and recognized his authority over all his creatures.(Genesis 1:26-30; 2:15-17)

When an angel turned man away from God, it was an act of rebellion against divine authority(Genesis 3:17-19) and God's Kingdom is the means by which God is addressing this issue. The first prophecy in the Bible is found at Genesis 3:15 where it prophecies satan's ultimate destruction. This, along with the restoring of God's original purpose for a paradise earth, will be accomplished by his Kingdom (Revelation 12:7-12)(Daniel 2:44)in the hands of his son, Jesus, the appointed king.(Matthew 28:18; Revelation 2:26, 27)

Because it's so important, the Kingdom was the main focus of Jesus' ministry(Luke 4:43), the goal he told his followers to reach for (1Corinthians 6:9-11; Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 5:5) and the message he instructed Christians to preach "until the end"(Matthew 28:19+20)(Matthew 24:14) when the Kingdom of God again will rule over the entire earth(Revelation 11:15, 17)(Colossians 1:13)(1Corinthians 15:24-26)

in peace(Psalms 37:10,11,29 /Matthew 5:5).

It is the central or core message of Jesus:

Mark 1:14New King James Version (NKJV) Jesus Begins His Galilean Ministry14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

This is the gospel-the good news-that Jesus Christ taught. The focus of Jesus Christ's message was the announcement of a coming world government. This government will not be ruled by selfishly motivated humans but by Jesus Christ Himself, and it will continue forever!

Luke 21:31New King James Version (NKJV)

31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
