When computer and human work together to collect, store and use data for efficient and effective planning and operations in an organisation is known as Management information system.

Its objectives are- to provide right kind of information at the right time at the right place to the manager to make correct selection or best course of action during decision making.To provide tools for planning and controlling for successful functioning of an organisation. Information for controlling the the activities of organisation.to record, store and retrieve information for operation of organisation.to help in budgetting,accounting, controlling and management functions
