The most common use of the acronym is in industrial production, where it means "million metric tons" (1 x 106 tonnes), where one metric ton, or tonne, equals 1000 kg.
The acronym is also used in other ways, including
Here is a list of all of the Asian time zones that are not offset from Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) by multiples of an hour:UTC+3:30/UTC+4:30 : Iran Standard Time/ Iran Daylight Saving Time (IRST/IRDT) in IranUTC+4:30 : Afghanistan Time (AFT) in AfghanistanUTC+5:30 : Indian Standard Time (INST) in India and Sri LankaUTC+5:45 : Nepal Time (NPT) in NepalUTC+6:30 : Myanmar Time (MMT) in MyanmarUTC+8:30 : Pyongyang Time (KPT) in North Korea
I can't verify this for Afghanistan specifically, but many countries and localities that get to choose what their local time is have often compromised on the time due to the shape and size of the location (in this case, Afghanistan). Since the country has an elongated shape and is adjacent to several other countries that have various other time zones it is possible that the time Afghanistan chose was a compromise between two times in order to keep the entire nation on the same time. The other options have proven to be politically messy, caused some problems in business transactions and caused confusion for the citizenry. So a compromise between say, GMT+4 or GMT+5 Afghanistan is in the middle or GMT+4.5.
According to Wikipedia, the geographical region of China, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau is in the same time zone which is eight hours ahead of the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC+8). It is known as China Standard Time or Beijing Time, which is the time zone observed in the People's Republic of China (PRC).In the past, China had been divided into five time zones, which are listed below. The Kunlun Time Zone was assigned to the area around the Kunlun mountain ranges in the far west of China, based on the time on the longitude 82°15′E.The Sinkiang-Tibet Time Zone was named after the administrative divisions of Sinkiang and Tibet, which had the majority of their land lying in this time zone. The time zone also covered the western halves of their neighbouring administrative divisions. The time in this time zone was based on that on the longitude 90°E.The Kansu-Szechuan Time Zone covered the mid-western part of China, based on the longitude 105°E.The Chungyuan Standard Time Zone, or Central Standard Time Zone, covered the densely populated area of the ROC, including the then capital Nanking. The time in this time zone was based on the longitude 120°E.The Changpai Time Zone covered Northeast China. Named after the Changpai mountain range on the border between China and Korea, it was based on that on the longitude 127°30′E.
Asia has the most time zones, ranging from UTC+02:00 in Turkey (two hours ahead of UTC or GMT) to UTC+12:00 in the easternmost part of Russia. That's 11 primary time zones. In addition, Asia has four time zones that are half an hour off from the rest of the world:Iran is UTC+03:30Afghanistan is UTC+04:30India is UTC+05:30Burma (Myanmar) is UTC+06:30All in all, Asia has 15 different time zones.Europe has only 4, Australia has 4 (including a small rural area that is UTC+08:45), Africa has 4, South America has 4 (including UTC-04:30 in Venezuela).North America has 9 (if you include UTC-03:30 in part of Newfoundland, UTC-03:00 on the islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon, and UTC-10:00 in Hawaii and the Aleutian Islands in Alaska). If you include Greenland as part of North America, then North America stretches across 11 primary time zones, from UTC+00:00 to UTC-10:00, but no part of North America actually observes UTC-02:00 as its standard time zone.(There are no time zones in Antarctica.)

MMT gasoline was phased out in 2006. Because of this, there are no gasoline brands that currently contain MMT.
According to Shell Oil, it does not use MMT in its motor fuels.

According to research by the Ethyl Corporation, MMT does not damage emission control systems as originally claimed by the EPA. However, environmental studies have shown that it has neurotoxic qualities, so most US and Canadian gasoline refiners do not use MMT.

Methylcyclopentadienyl Manganese Tricarbonyl (MMT) is not a common gasoline additive. Most major gas companies do not use it. However, some refiners who do use it sell to major gas companies.

The abbreviation MMT is sometimes used in industry, and means "million metric tons" (1 x 106 tonnes), where one tonne equals 1000 kg. The figure 1.5 MMT would then be one and a half billion (1.5 x 109) kilograms, usually followed by some indication of the period such as per month or per year.
