Michelins. so ANY Michelin will give a good ride? why bother responding if your not going to give a worth while answer
Through mid year 2007 they came with Continentals. After about March 2007 they have Michelins. Buick had trouble balancing the Contis.
They are comparable now (IMO) I would not buy Michelins no matter what you get-they are way overpriced. I can't think of any brand more expensive
There are many good quality tire manufacturers. More importantly, though, you should always stick with the tires specified by the vehicle's manufacturer. You can find the information on tire size and type on a decal on either the driver's or the passenger's door jamb.
Replace tires with tires that are the same size as came on the vehicle ,and just as important, with a tire that has the same speed rating or better. The speed rating is the letter designation that appears something like this R205/65 15 92S. "S" is the speed rating. It is really a measure of how well the tire is made. I replaced the OEM Continental tires with a "P" rating for Michelins with an "H" rating. They cost more, but the "H" rated tire is made better. I have been using Michelins since the early 70s and have never had one fail. Other people have their own favorites.
Michelin motorcycle tires do not have an alignment mark. The tires are very close when manufactured. You are generally balancing the wheel as opposed to the tire. If you have any specific Michelin motorcycle tire questions please contact me. Please visit our website at http://www.proaligner.com to learn how to align all motorcycle tires. Thank you. Added by Toiletbrushx: I helped the guy at the shop mount my Michelins this past weekend. I also asked where the mark was, and he said that Michelins don't have an exterior mark like most tires. The alignment point is the tiny barcode on the bead surface. He lined the bar codes up with the valve stems and the front came out perfectly balanced. The rear needed only a .5 weight.
Well, for asphalt road use, I'd recommend a tire with a good road wear rating. That is, a number between 100 and 500 showing relative wear rating, the higher being the better. Then, check traction rating, which is a letter from A to F, A being best. A good brand for this would be Michelins, good luck!
This information should be available in the driver's side door jam where it also shows your vin number & the year manufactured. The tire size is P205/70r15. Don't go with any others size or it will afffect your fuel economy. I would recommend Michelins. They cost more but they are well worth it.
