To my knowledge Microsoft created Windows Vista which has new and improved fire walls (protection from unauthorized intruders ), as well as, auto blocking of pop-ups (unwanted programs). Vista also has enhanced administration of user accounts (restrict permissions) and something called Windows Defender is also included in Vista.
