NZ does have glaciers. The Fox glacier and the Franz Josef glacier. Both are in the South Island. Fox glacier is 13kms long and the Franz Josef glacier is 11kms long.
Tasman Glacier is the longest at 29kms.

The two major Glaciers of New Zealands South Island are Franz Josef Glacier and Fox Glacier. These are both located on the west coast of the south island and are major tourist attractions.
Since the length of a strait is rather indeterminate, there will be no exact answer. But Cook Strait would be longer than Foveaux strait. Are there others?
