Been Lookiin For This Answer Myself, Anyway I pulled A 95 4.3 Out of One Truck And Put it In A 92 Everything Hooked Up Fine With Some Minor Changes
in a f/s truck it is 250hp factory.
Answerno the wiring harness in your 92 model truck will not fit correctly into the newer dash. to replace the dash you are going to have to change over the wiring harness, both doors, and the steering column.
It will bolt on, but it will look funny, The 92 truck is not as wide as the 81 truck. so the bed will hang out wide against the back of the cab. Total different body style.
