A height of 6,539 or of 7,710 feet is the highest that Portugal gets, depending upon whether one is speaking of the mainland or all Portugal.

Specifically, the highest elevation in mainland Portugal is Serra da Estrela [Mountain Range of the Star]. It's 6,539 feet [1,993 meters; 1.24 miles] above sea level. The highest point in all of Portugal [including its two autonomous regions] is Mount Pico [Ponta do Pico] on Pico Island [lha do Pico]in the Azores [Região Autónoma dos Açores]. Mount Pico reaches a height of 7,710 feet [2,350 meters; 1.46 miles].
