Ponta do Pico and Serra da Estrela are Portugal's tallest mountains. Specifically, the tallest mountain in mainland Portugal is Serra da Estrela [Mountain Range of the Star]. It's 6,539 feet [1,993 meters; 1.24 miles] above sea level. The highest point in all of Portugal [including its two autonomous regions] is Mount Pico [Ponta do Pico] on Pico Island (Ilha do Pico) in the Azores [Região Autónoma dos Açores]. Mount Pico reaches a height of 7,710 feet [2,350 meters; 1.46 miles].
