don,t know who he was but there is a pub in high wycombe bucks that has his name William Robert Loosely was a prominent business man in High Wycombe, who in 1904 formed Hull, Loosley & Pearce with two close friends, who were all also related by marriage This firm was to be one of the bedrocks of the retail trade in Wycombe for nearly 100 years. This company is still in existence in the Frogmoor (17-19), about 100m from the pub in question. (c.f. http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/bcc/content/index.jsp?contentid=865776682) William Robert Loosely was my great Grandfather. A carpenter by trade he owned a furniture store in High Wycombe along with Pearce. The pub in High Wycombe is on the same site. His grandson, the late Robert Loosely Salter was my Grandfather.
