A Rubik's Cube is made up of 22 small plastic cubes called "cubies", and one turning mechanism in the middle that resembles something like a 3-d cross, with spinning squares at the end of each end of the cross. The rotating squares at the end of the cross are actually the "center pieces" of the whole complete cube, the dot in the middle of each 3x3 square.
Rubik's cubes have 3 pieces that you can see.
the corners(pieces with 3 sides)
the edges(pieces with 2 sides)
the centers(middle pieces with 1 side)
They also have a core which you can't see, it is made out of
a cross-like shape attached to the centers
screws to keep the core attacked to the centers
springs to make the cube easy to turn and to re-adjust it for personal preferences
You can by them at toysrus or barnes&noble. Hope it help! :>
Some Walgreens, Wal Mart have rubiks cubes avaliable. They are like $8 at Wal-Mart. Highly recommend Cubezz.com - all sorts of Rubik's Cubes can be found in the store, more than 1000+ with freeshipping!
