There isn't Shugo Chara season 4 yet. It said that it's gonna come out in October 2010, but it didn't. The story tells of Amu and her friends in primary school, but now they've finished year six so the story should be finished. The original maker of shugochara, Peach-pits, had already given out an ending in their manga book. Ikuto and Amu are together.

There is no official season 4 of Shugo Chara. The series only ran for three seasons, titled Shugo Chara!, Shugo Chara!! Doki, and Shugo Chara!! Party.

What is the whole story to shugo chara?
Shugo chara is an anime about a girl in 5th-6th grade named Hinamori Amu. She has 4 shugo charas, Ran, Miki, Suu, and Dia. (There is a rumor about a cross but that isn't true) Amu and her guardian friends (Amu is the joker) have to find the Embryo. (For some reason)But, Easter is also trying to find the Embryo. Amu has to stop Easter and fix X eggs to find the embryo. At the end of the series there is a 3rd season called Shugo chara Party but it isn't from the manga. In the manga there is Shugo chara encore. I guess that shugo chara party is a very bad replacement of the encore. :) I hope it helps!

Well at the end of Shugo Chara! Party!, the eggs announced that episode 25 was the last of Shugo Chara PARTY. There's a likely chance that the creators of Shugo Chara will continue with a fourth season. Plus, there are many unanswered questions (like when Amu will find out that Nagihiko -gushes- is Nadeshiko and Ikuto and Tadase -gushes-) I just hope that the rest of the Shugo Chara and everything don't focus on that Rikka-chick. When does shugo chara stop?
The shugo chara anime ends at episode 25 of Shugo Chara Party! on March 26 2010. If a 4th season somehow arises, please update this answer. Yeah ! The 4th season is called 'Shugo Chara Encore' and has 4 chapters , the first one is about Kukai and Utau; the second one is with Rima and Nagihiko; the third one is before graduation and is with Yaya and Kairi, and the last one is at Nikaido's wedding and is an amuto chapter and at the end ran,miki,suu and dia came out from the eggs and amu realize that no matter what changes will come in her life she will still be herself , she'll keep growing and she will be whoever she wants to be . This is how the story ends! =D i was kinda sad because i wanted to see what will happen when amu will be an adult and how her relationship with ikuto will go, but as long as it's a happy ending I'm satisfied ! ^_^ Shugo chara has been (and it still is) one of my favourite anime .
