It is the national holiday, so most things are closed and most people are off work. There are thousands of tourists in Dublin. The parade is the main event, but each year there are other various events too. A lot of people celebrate with drink or food and have a good time. Sometimes the weather is good, but sometimes it can be cold or wet.
