"Syed" is a Muslim given name. It is derived from the Muslim title "Sayyid". In Spain the persons name would still be spelled and pronounced the same way.

Another way to describe a given name is to call it a "Christian" name. Christian names are generally associated with specific Christian Saints. So St. James in English is San Diego in Spanish for example.

Syed is a given name, but not a Christian name, so there is no equivalent in Spanish
