If you are referring to the icon that looks like a water tank with a down arrow inside of it, that is your radiator reservoir level indicator. The sensor in the tank activates the light when the reservoir is low on coolant.
All you need to do is top it off and the light will disappear. If the light comes back in a short time frame, you could have a few problems that range from minor to major.
Some of the minor problems could be:
- Coolant leak due to worn hoses. This could turn to a major issue if not addressed.
- Pressure cap not holding pressure and leaking coolant.
- Crack in the reservoir.
Some of the major ones could be:
- Sign of water pump failure, trace back to weep hole to see if it's leaking.
- Burning of coolant through the combustion chamber due to blown head gasket or
cracked head. You'll see a lot of white smoke and condensation under the rear of the
car when it's running.
Check the brake fluid...
most likely the sensor in the bottom of the coolant reservoir is gone change reservoirs then see
The 2003 Pontiac Sunfire came from the manufacturer equipped with 225 65R 15 tires. The back and the front tires were the same size.
I have the same problem with my sunfire. no big deal. All the ETS(electronic tracking system)does is tell you and your sensors on your tires how well your tired are griping to the pavement.
Different for every vehicle. Contact your dealer if you didn't get the card that came with your car.
The 99 Pontiac Bonneville, Firebird and Grand Prix came with the 3.8 engine. The Sunfire came with the 2.2 or the 2.4. The Montana came with the 3.4. The Grand Am came with the 2.4 or the 3.4. The Firebird Trans Am and the Firebird Formula, the 5.7. Only the Grand Prix SE came with the 3.1.
You might be out of brake fluid. Our rear wheel cylinder was leaking and ran ours out of fluid and the light came on.
The check engine light has nothing to do with the washer fluid. If the check engine light is on you need to have it checked for codes with a scanner.
Assuming they came on at the same time, scan the ABS computer for codes to help narrow the focus.
where? in the front? it would probably be a hose that came off at the pump motor. Most likely the bottom motor on the engine side of the washer fluid tank
engine light just came on in my g6 2007 code p1174
that was happening on my 99 sunfire gt last year i just put red lock tight on the inside hole and let it dry for about 1 hour and they never came out since
