TTCP is a client/server application, typically implemented on the command line to determine the communication metrics between two network connected devices. Though originally designed to determine communication metrics between Unix hosts, TTCP is now available for other operating systems as well. Throughput is usually measured in kBs (kiloBytes per second) though some implementations are reported to support other metrics as well. [JMH]
