its just another type of poetry
War poetry is a genre of poetry that reflects on the experiences, emotions, and impacts of war. It often communicates the horrors, sacrifices, and complexities of war, while also exploring themes such as loss, patriotism, and the human condition. War poetry can be written by those who have directly experienced war or by individuals reflecting on the broader implications of armed conflict.
to write war poems you have to of had experienced the same kind of things as the people who are in war.
If not you would have to empethise with people who have been through that kind experience.
Also you have to mean it from the heart.
People write war poetry for the same reason they write love poems, funny poems, thoughtful poems, and every other form in which verse appears. Essentially, that reason is that poetry is about human emotion, experience, observation, and thought.
