Wyoming's state symbol is a cowboy on a bucking bronco (horse). The cowboy and bucking bronco have been on the Wyoming state license plates since 1934.

Wyoming's Motto is "Equal Rights" and is found on Wyoming's State Seal.

The Great Seal of Wyoming also shows two dates, 1869 and 1890, a woman in the center holding a banner with the motto, "Equal Rights," two male figures, a five-pointed star with the number "44", pillars with lamps on top from which burn the Light of Knowledge, and Scrolls encircling the two pillars bear the words "Oil," "Mines," "Livestock" and "Grain."
