Love tokens and all engraved coins are very hard to evaluate without seeing the coin.
In general, the host coin doesn't matter too much since any collector value for the coin is gone due to the fact the entire reverse (or obverse) of the coin is filed down and then engraved. The only time it really matters is helping you to date the coin (the coin in your case had to be engraved in 1883 or later, most likely later) or if it is gold.
The higher quality of the engraving, the more the piece will fetch. Simple initials generally go for very little while nicely done calligraphy styled initials go for much more. The more ornate the better.
The Hawaiian dime was struck in 1883 only and values run from $50.00 to more than $3,000.00 depending on the grade.
I bought one ten years ago for $30, figures to be worth more now.
