The coin needs to be seen for a accurate value. A 1899 Morgan dollar is a better date of the series. Circulated examples have current market values of $90.00- $240.00 depending on the actual grade of the coin. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition, coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.

∙ 11y agoThe 1892-S is a lower mintage (1,200,000) date/mint Morgan and is fairly common in the lower (G-4/F-12) circulated grades. For an accurate assessment of value the coin needs to be seen and graded. In general retail values for low grade coins are $35.00-$50.00, better grade are $100.00-$400.00 and coins showing almost no wear run from $1,000.00-$3,000.00 and more depending on the actual grade of the coin. Values are a market average and only for coins in collectible condition. Coins that are bent, corroded, scratched, used as jewelery or have been cleaned have far less value if any to a collector or dealer.

∙ 11y agoThe 1893-S Morgan dollar is considered the key-date coin of the series. If you actually have one, I strongly suggest authentication. Most known circulated examples are in the Very Fine grade range (VF-20 to VF-35) with current market values of $5,000.00 to $7,000.00 depending on the actual grade.
