Quite simply, a three-stanza poem is a poem that has three stanzas, or parts. A simple example follows:

This is a verse

Of stanzas three;

This is, you see,

How it must be.

I sit here now

Beside my spouse,

Who's not, I say,

Mild as a mouse.

He is, howe'er

My heart's true love.

For him, I am

Sweet as a dove.

Corny, yes, it came off the top of my head, but it has three stanzas. :)
