Berean Bible Church has a very legitimate volleyball league. It meets in the fall and the winter. The fall league is less competitive, and not-so-new beginners are often put on teams w/ experienced players to help them learn and improve. The winter league is more competitive, and beginners are usually not asked to play. The player pool consists of recently and not so recent college grads who played volleyball for their college, older players who've been around vball forEVER and still know how to move, and athletes of all sorts who love volleyball and are looking for a place to play. Contact Berean Bible Church office, and they'll put you in contact with the right people to get you involved. Bud Fields may still be in charge. Hope it helps!

Most prominent of those patents were the planes manufactured by the Stanley Rule & Level Co. A type study of his patented planes and the rest of the Stanley line may be found at Patrick Leach's "Blood and Gore".[2] Bailey's design ideas are still utilized by Stanley and other plane manufacturers day.
It was foretold in the Bible that Christianity would have divisions arise and there would be a great rebellion, or apostasy led by the "man of lawlessness". The understanding of these divisions, and whether or not they were justified, would vary greatly depending on the view point of the person. Many Christians over the centuries felt that true worship was not being done, so they made an attempt to re-establish it.Consider some prophecies regarding the divisions that would arise in the Christian congregation:2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (Paul's words / Berean Literal Translation) "Now we implore you, brothers, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together unto Him, for you not quickly to be shaken in mind, nor to be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as if by us, as that day of the Lord is present. No one should deceive you in any way, because it is not until the apostasy shall have come first, and the man of lawlessness shall have been revealed the son of destruction, the one opposing and exalting himself above every so-called god or object of worship so as for him to sit down in the temple of God, setting forth that he himself is God."Acts 20:29,30 - (Paul's words / NWT) "I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among you and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves."2 Peter 2:1 - (NWT) "However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects, and they will even disown the owner who bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves."To understand this, and to identify those who are true Christians, Jesus gave the following two instructions:Matthew 7:15-23 (NIV) "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them."Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"John 13:34,35 (ESV) "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."To identify those who are truly following Jesus - 1: They would have to be doing the will of his Father, and the only way to do that is to listen to his word. 2. They would have intense love for each other and also show love for their neighbor.
Luke.23 [43] And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.AnswerOh dear these religious questions do put the cat among the pigeons when conflicting answers come up don't they? No man can perfect themselves in this life, it does not matter how much doctrine they know or how much good they do, whether they believe in Christ or not. Unless one is perfectly unspotted from the sins of this world, unless one knows with a perfect conviction that Jesus is the Christ.Obedience to the law cannot save us because no one can live the law perfectly. I defy any man to say that he has conquered all, that his election has been made sure by the Sons intercedence on their behalf . We all fall short of so glorious a resurrection, though all will be resurrected for the Lord has promised us that will be so (And not by grace as many would have us believe). He died that we might live, but it is us who will determine where we shall live by our very own actions here upon this footstool of God.I have tried to keep the law for forty or more years, I have paid an honest tithe, and have done all in my power to serve my God and his son Jesus the Christ, yet still I fall short of perfection. Christ and Christ alone will know the reward I shall receive.I bare you my testimony that it is He alone who knows the fate of all men, that the pathway to heaven if full of men with good intentions but few there will be who will reach the top rung to rest in the bosom of our Father. This testimony I leave with you in His holy name even Jesus Christ.AmenJesus did not save the repentant thief (If at all he was repentant). He only promised that he would be with him in the spirit world to await one of the Kingdoms Jesus mentioned. The thief will still have to give an account of his life here upon the earth as we all will.No man will be left in limbo as some suggest, but all must stand before the bar of God, it is there that we will know our fate.Actually there is nothing in the original word in Greek from which Luke: 23 was taken that signifies paradise. I believe what the Lord was saying was that the thief would be with him in the spirit world where he would be taught all he wished to know.AnswerAside from the repentant thief, whom Jesus most certainly saved, there have been many. The following are some of those recorded in the Bible itself. * 3000 people on the day of Pentecost when Peter preached - Acts 2 v41.* 5000 people at the temple after the crippled man was healed - Acts 4 v4.* The 7 'deacons' (including Stephen) and many priests - Acts 6 v 5-7.* The Ethiopian Eunuch - Acts 8 v 26-38.* Paul - Acts 9 v 1-19.* Gentiles in Antioch in Pisidia - Acts 13 v 13-48.* Timothy - Acts 16 v 1.* Lydia - Acts 16 v 11-15.* the Philippian jailer and his family - Acts 16 v 25-34.* Cornelius and his acquaintances- Acts 10 .* Crispus, synagogue superintendant at Corinth and his household and many other Corinthians - Acts 18 v 8-10.* Apollos - Acts 18 v 24-28.* Some Thessalonian Jews - Acts 17 v 1-4.* Many Berean Jews and Greek women and men - Acts 17 v 10-12.* Some Athenians, Dionysius, Damaris and others - Acts 17 v 34.* Abraham - Romans 4 v 19-22.* Hebrews 11 saints, all from the Old Testament times.* Luke the Physician - Luke 1 v1.In addition to all of the above the Bible tells us in Romans 10 v 13'For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'Thus there have been many thousands down through the centuries who have trusted in Jesus to save them and have themselves known the truth of His words recorded in the Gospel of John 6 v 37 '....him that comes to me I will in no wise cast out.' Aside from the testimony of the infallible word of God, all those who have believed in Jesus, have assurance through the Holy Spirit that the salvation they have received is a present reality. 'He shall glorify me: (i.e. Jesus) for He shall receive of mine and shall show it unto you.' John 16 v14.AnswerIn the Evangelical Protestant Christian tradition, it is held that any human being who has made a personal expression of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, will go to heaven when they die, unless they subsequently reject faith in Jesus. In the Roman Catholic Christian tradition, it is held that any person who has been baptised into the Catholic Church and who has not deliberately turned away from God by committing a mortal sin (that is, a serious wrongful action with deliberate and totally free intention), will go to heaven; those who are not Catholics may enter heaven, by the grace of Jesus, if they live their lives on earth according to their consciences.
There is no proper order to reading the Bible to glean its complete meaning. It is recommended that one reads it in its entirety from Genesis to Revelation though. To understand 'context' of a verse of Scripture, it is a good rule to read the whole paragraph/chapter to get the correct topic and message. Some have suggested starting with Proverbs as it is a collection of small 'tidbits' of wisdom. Others have suggested starting with the Gospel of John and then his 3 smaller letters - his Gospel is sometimes called the Gospel of Love and that is what God is all about. We are each individuals with different tastes, desires, needs so it is really an individual's choice. But reading it fully is a great accomplishment. Don't get discouraged as it has been said that one can read the first book of Genesis every year of a long life and still not fully understand it. Prayer for understanding is a vital step for anyone interested in unraveling the puzzle.Additional AnswerThere are a couple of Questions asked here: " How do I understand what it means?"" Where do I start and then where do I go?"(1). To begin to understand it remember God is the Author and the writer of the book is just a scribe, so if you have a query ask the Author - He'll be glad to help.(2). Take it seriously but use Common Sense: just as in our day-to-day speaking, most of it is literal, but some is figurative and there are metaphors and figures of speech.(3). Download a Bible Program off the Net. (Many are Free!) But which one? One of the most popular is "e-sword" and you can download whatever additional Bible versions, Commentaries, Dictionaries you like. At the other end of the spectrum there are programs with just one Bible, usually the 'King James' version. An in-between program that comes with multiple Bibles is the " Berean Bible" and I personally like it as it has a magnificent "Search" facility. (However, that is personal preference).(4). Remember the Bible interprets the Bible, so if you have a sticky passage put the relevant word/s in "Search" in the Bible program you choose and follow the list of verses through until you get the answer.(5). Ensure you have a Bible Program, it is essential that you have you have a printed TRANSLATION of the Bible (NOT a paraphrase) and that it has a CENTRE-REFERENCE column showing other relevant verses. This cannot be stressed too much. Relevant translations would be either the King James [KJ], New King James [NKJ], or New American Standard Version [NASB].(6). For the order of reading, if you do NOT have a centre reference Bible, start at Genesis and read a couple of chapters, and then immediately after read a couple of chapters from Matthew (the first book of the New testament) and so on to Revelation.(7). if you DO have a centre reference Bible, START at REVELATION, and follow the references through. There are over 800 references in the rest of the Bible to the 404 verses in Revelation, and doing this will take you to almost every book of the entire Bible. This is a fantastic learning tool.(8). To understand the Book of Revelation, before reading it do a search in a Bible program on 'Day of the Lord' and read every verse, and picture it in your mind. Only then read Revelation and then, believe it or not, it will make a lot more sense.Following these steps ill answer your Question. And then:...after you've done all your preparation and are ready to begin -- take a moment to pray to the Father in heaven, through His Son, Jesus Christ, to lead you into the path of His Truth. To open your mind and heart to His Word that you are about to take up and read.Millions of scholars and ordinary people have read God's Word for centuries... and many just "never got it"... never understood it. Even Christ's own disciples who were reared in the Word of God didn't really know the Truth of what they'd been taught, until Jesus "opened their understanding" to it."THEN He opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures." (Luke 24:45 NIV)God told Daniel that His Word would not be understood until the "end time." DANIEL, HIMSELF, DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HE SAW IN HIS INSPIRED DREAMS... or much of what he wrote:"...I DID NOT UNDERSTAND. So I asked, 'My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?' He replied, 'Go your way, Daniel, because THE WORDS ARE CLOSED UP AND SEALED UNTIL THE TIME OF THE END." (Dan.12:8-9 NIV)The mysterious Truth of God's inspired revealing of Himself has always been hidden from most men... especially, coming down through the early millennia VERBALLY.But the writing down of His Truth... and its subsequent global publication, has made it possible for a greater saturation of His Truth to be absorbed by more people in these last days. And it is the advent of Spiritual Enlightenment by JESUS CHRIST, who has "stripped away the seals" [see Rev.6] that once "closed up" God's Word, that has created the ability, here at the "time of the end" to understand what Daniel and the other writers of the Bible are still saying to us, today.Daniel was told: "...Many will go here and there to increase knowledge." (Dan.7:4 NIV)Not only is global travel a common thing in today's fast-paced world... the magnetic power of the Internet has made it possible for people to travel around the world and never leave their house... and to gather knowledge [useful or useless] of just about anything anyone would care to investigate. More knowledge than anyone can possibly use.And that includes the organized search and study of God's Word. We're there... at the time of the end. Any number of "structured study" programs are available now, as we go here and there to increase our knowledge of biblical understanding -- or anything else. But, Jesus Christ is the "Revelator." He is the One who gives the reader of God's now opened and revealed Word... understanding... as He did [and still does] with His disciples.Any study of God's Word begins and ends with a faithful, heartfelt plea to the Father in heaven, in innocent child-like trust; to open our minds and hearts to understand His Truth -- asking it in His Son's Holy Name.Study programs can be good... but only the Spirit of Christ can provide the ultimate understanding to our spirits. In other words... we have to simply choose to "believe what Jesus tells us." Unlike so many others who chose and choose not to:"I am telling you what I have seen in the Father's presence..." (John 8:38 NIV)."Yet because I tell you the Truth, you do not believe Me!" (verse 45)Studying the Bible isn't so much the "order" in which its read... but in simply "believing" what it says.Mostly -- JUST READ THE BIBLE with a pure heart -- and YOU WILL BE BLESSED!"Blessed is the one who reads the Words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and TAKE TO HEARTwhat is written in it, because the time is near." (Rev.1:3 NIV)And understanding will come.
