A Class C license (In Oregon) allows a person who is at least 18 year old to drive:
- A car or any single vehicle (mopeds, passenger cars, vans, and pickups) with a loaded weight and gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of not more than 26,000 pounds that is exempt from CDL or motorcycle requirements.
- A recreational Vehicle - including motor homes, campers, and travel trailers - for personal use.
- A fire or emergency vehicle.
You may also tow:
- A single vehicle, including a trailer or travel trailer, which has a loaded weight and GVWR of 10,000 pounds or less.
- A trailer with loaded weight and GVWR of the towing vehicle and trailer is not more then 26,000 pounds.
Before DMV can issue any other class of license, permit, or endorsement, you must first qualify for a Class C license.
