there are several consequences of being a poikilothermic: 1.they have a short life. 2.their body temperature change with environment temperature. 3.they generally have complex exterior structure,such as,feather,wing,or scaly skin. 4.they have a really complex metabolism. i have tried to help to answer by giving the basics,but this should not be counted as the whole of the answer.
