There isn't one. They are two separate religions. And though both have good, moral teachings, they contradict one another. Jews are not allowed to belong to any other faith; if a Jew converts to another faith, they are an *ex* Jew.

Yes, by giving up the religion, or simply converting to different religion. Jews during the Third Reich in Germany could convert, but as soon as a Jewish ancestor was found in your bloodline, you were considered a Jew. In other words, converting to another religion did not help them. Most 'Jew-spotters' seem to regard anyone with a Jewish grandparents as a Jew. To put the matter differently, it depends on the definitions used.

Sure. "I am of the Jewish religion." is a grammatically correct sentence. However, it sounds odd and no Jew would actually phrase it that way. They would say either: "I am a Jew." or "I belong to the Jewish religion." I have personally never understood why Non-Jews are so hesitant to use the word "Jew", it is the way most Jews refer to one another. It is only when said with contempt or disgust that the word "Jew" is an insult.
