No. In fact, I can't find any model 336 Marlins made prior to 1948. There should be a one or two letter code if it was manufactured between 1948 and 1968. I believe a Marlin with a serial number starting with 24 was made in 1976, but can't find my reference for that right now. I believe 1976 is the correct year.
