A PS/2 port is a computer port used for connecting keyboards and mice to computers. It was first introduced in the IBM PS/2 (Personal Series/2) line of personal computers in 1987. It is still present in some computers, but has been replaced by USB in many circumstances because it removes the possible confusion between two physically identical ports that aren't interchangeable (one for a keyboard, one for a mouse.)
