The heart cannot produce enough force to adequately supply the cells with blood and the individual is subject to cellular malnutrition as well as a buildup of fat and cholesterol in the smaller arteries and veins.

Regular checkups that include blood pressure and heart rate tests are a good way to discover any irregularities in the cardiovascular system. Hypertension can be controlled by a change of diet and the taking of certain pharmaceutical products.
