To break the cycle of perfection, I would think trying to be perfect would be the worst step. Most things we hope to change about ourselves are habits, meaning things we habitually do, say, feel, think, etc. Almost everyone breaks a habit through trial and error, and also through trying and failing. Habits can take more than a dozen times to 'break' even minimally. That makes some people give up! However, instead of feeling they failed, they should celebrate the things they learned through the efforts.
Some examples of superstition is the classic seven years of bad luck if you break a mirror; if you step on a crack, you will break your mother's back; and finally if you step under a ladder a horrible event will occur.

A few superstitious beliefs are Friday the 13th is an unlucky day, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, you break your mother's back when you step on a crack, it is bad luck to break a mirror, and opening an umbrella in a house brings bad luck. 1 practice many people do is they never step under a ladder. They feel this brings bad luck also.

Man's greatest good and perfection is his heart. The heart of man may love respect appreciate and admire, releasing the good and making perfections but the same heart is the greatest bad and imperfection since when man is scorned and harmed his heart will hurt turning love into hatred and respect into disgrace. In the heart the greatest good and perfection can turn into the greatest bad and imperfection.
Revenge is a cycle, not a matter of balance. if one pursues revenge on another, this pursuit will be seen as a threat and the instinctive reaction is to weaken the opponent from conducting another harmful attack. The only way to break the cycle is to realize it and end it yourself.
