A Battle Staff Officer is part of a group of officers and enlisted personnel that provides a bi-directional flow of information between a Commander and subordinates.

The Battle Staff System has been around in similar form since War began with personnel advisors that assisted the Commander on several disciples within warfare but the The Modern Battle Staff credits its history to General Louis Berthier of France. He built what would be considered the first "Real" Battle Staff. Which Consisted of officers dedicated and training in their assigned area. The difference between the Modern and old Battle Staffs is Trained staff in a given field.
