How do you make a battle Mage on skyrim?

This is a hybrid strategy that takes some planning to make most effective. By choosing specific branches of chosen skill trees perks early on you can make an extremely dynamic character that's very fun to play. The Altmer, Orsimer, and Imperials are well suited to this strategy because of their racial bonuses. High Elves for the extra magic abilities and Orcs for their weapons, armor, and crafting bonuses. Imperials are a nice combination of both with skills in weapons and crafting as well as increased destruction and restoration skills. Using Alteration in addition to Heavy Armor you can give yourself a very strong defense for getting into the fight if you wish to. When your health starts getting low a simple Restoration spell will have you ready for more action. It's recommended to choose desired spells carefully and acquire perks accordingly. Lightning based Destruction spells have the bonus of being able to deplete the targets magicka, so focusing on Destruction perks that increase the effectiveness of electrical attacks and perks that reduce the amount of magicka required to cast Destruction spells is useful for attacking at range and taking down other mages. When encountering mobs, using runes can create plenty of splash damage softening up targets to be finished off with a one handed weapon. Taking the Alteration perks associated with reducing incoming spell effects and using incoming spells to recharge magicka will further increase your effectiveness against other mages. This, combined with rings or necklaces enchanted with Resist Magic, and The Atronach Stone blessing, will allow you to negate up to 85% of incoming spell damage and use 80% of the magicka used to create that spell to recharge your own magicka.Conjuration is a valuable skill to invest perks into for this type of gameplay. You can acquire Conjure Flame Atronach in Dragonsreach, as well as Bound Sword, using these two spells and then attacking your summoned creature allows you to level up both Conjuration and One Handed pretty quickly. Healing yourself while allowing your creature to attack you (after you have hit it enough times) will allow you to level up Heavy Armor and Restoration quickly. In the Conjuration skill tree it's advisable to acquire perks pertaining to bound weapons which will greatly enhance bound weapons abilities including giving them the ability to soul trap upon killing blow. Also useful are perks for summoned Atronachs, which will prove invaluable when mobs get to be too much.In the One-Handed tree choose a type of weapon to be the kind you are going to use and invest in perks for that type of weapon and for increasing the effectiveness of one handed weapons, but don't branch into multiple weapons as it will waste perks for enhancing spells. If you choose to use swords investing in the dual weapon perks isn't a terrible idea, given that swords are the fastest melee weapon aside from daggers (which don't have a One Handed perk associated with them) and with the Dual Flurry perk, attack speed is even faster. With the right Conjuration perks you will receive the damage bonuses from the dual wielding perks, the one handed perks and the bound weapons perks. That, combined with the heavy armor and alteration spells, should have you prepared for hand to hand combat with just about anything. A BIG thing to remember when using this strategy is that you are still a mage and thus will be putting most points into magicka on level ups. Stamina will be the absolute least of your worries as you will want to spend what few points you can spare on health.Enchanting a piece of heavy armor as soon as possible is recommended and a good way to start is to get a set of Novice Robes from Dragonreach's Wizard, Farengar Secret-Fire. Disenchant the robe so that with the use of a Grand Soul Gem and the desired helmet or (chest) armor, you can get much needed magicka regenerating armor. Disenchanting a Novice Hood will allow you to enchant helmets and gloves with a magicka point boost. This strategy is good against enemies who drain magicka as it leaves you with armor and a weapon (or two) to fall back on. That being said always remember to keep one or two real (non-bound) weapons on hand, if you find your magicka depleted you don't want to find yourself up a creek without a paddle, or, as is likelier, in a dragon's lair without a weapon. This strategy is also good because of it's "Gandalf" aspect, you can have great effectiveness while wielding both a staff and a one handed weapon. Using the Enchanting strategy mentioned under The Pyromanic (aside from the Mage Armor perk) on a set of armor will allow you make use of the same strategy, depending on the schools you choose to fortify with your enchantments.A slight alternative to this build is a low magicka battlemage. Putting points into both magicka and health evenly on level ups, you can make up for the small amount of magicka by using block instead of alteration. With a perk that allows you to block 50% of magic, it more than makes up for the lack of ward or magic armor. (Spellbreaker helps with this as it casts a free, constant ward while blocking. It is obtained from the Daedric Quest The Only Cure.) While waiting for your magic to recharge, switch to a sword and/or shield and use restoration magic. Also, since perks from both heavy armor and alteration defeat eachothers usefulness (for example perks demand full allegiance to the skill by requiring you to not wear armor at all to get a stat boost for alteration and heavy armor gives you boosts for wearing all of the same type of armor or wearing all heavy armor) it is not recommended to use those skills together, unless you choose to avoid those specific perks in the alteration tree, heavy armor with the proper enchantments and refinement, and certain perks from the alteration tree, surpasses the damage resisting ability that the alteration perks alone can give.dats a lot of info :)

Artix Entertainment's lips are sealed, but rumor has it that Chii fell from the sky in the year 65,000,000 B.C. and was adopted by a local family of cavemen.
