BCM, body control module. It controls lights, wipers, alarm, etc.
PCM, powertrain control module. It is the engine computer.
The alarm functions are handled by both the PCM, under the hood, and the BCM, back side of under dash fuse panel.
No bus means that there is an open circut between the bcm & the pcm ae open or loose wires
the pcm is located under the hood on the left hand side just left of the ecm
disconect the battery for more than a minute
If you can not find used, then you buy new or scrap the car.
It is a combination of the PCM(engine computer) and the BCM (body computer)
BCM is in the trunk. all the way to the right. You have to remove the panel to get to it The PCM is under the dash on the right side. You have to remove the glove box to access the screw that holds it in place.
The factor alarm does not work off of one fuse. The pcm and bcm are both part of the alarm. If you pulled those fuses the engine and all interior items would be dead.

I found a place where you can buy PCM' for 96-06 Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Stratus & Cirrus with a lifetime warranty, programmed & updated for your VIN & mileage. I found a PCM there for my 1997 Chrysler Sebring Convertible JS which has California emissions...so a hard part to find on the East coast. I will be buying it in about 2 weeks, so I'll let you know how it goes! http://www.allcomputerresources.com/ 1-866-699-5230 ALL Computer Resources, Inc. $199 FREE Shipping
BCM- Body Control Module
Idle speed on a 1995 Chrysler Cirrus is controlled by the PCM. The PCM operates the idle air control motor. The PCM adjusts engine speed through the idle air control motor to compensate for engine load, coolant temperature or barometeric pressure changes. The Idle Air Control (IAC) motor is mounted on the throttle body and has an air bypass passage that provides air for the engine during closed throttle idle. The idle air control motor pintle protudes into the air bypass passage and regulates air flow trough it. The PCM adjusts engine idle speed by moving the IAC motor pintle in and out of the bypass passage. The adjustments are based on inputs the PCM receives. The inputs are from the throttle position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, coolant temperature sensor, MAP sensor, vehicle speed sensor and various switch operations. Hope that helps.
