A bladder infection is a bacterial disease. Most are caused when bacteria travel up the urethra (backward, or ascending) to the bladder. This is more common in women because of the close proximity of the urethra to the vagina and the growth of bacteria in the closed environment of the vulva.
Bladder infections are caused by the bacteria E. coli.

It means that a bacteria has reached your bladder anyway. If your urine is acid it means that your blood is acid too. And this acidity has made the internal tissue of your bladder to create conditions to develop an infection by a bacteria carried through your blood flow. After you have treated the bladder infection, ask your doctor for a medicine to neutralize the excess of acidity of your stomach.

A bladder infection can have several causes. It is bacteria that enters through the uretha. Some of the things that can cause a bladder infection is bubble baths, colored toilet paper, red food dye, taking antibiotics, using bacterial soaps, and not going to the bathroom often enough or holding it too long and sex. Somehow, bacteria, yeast or even a virus of some sort have set up 'house keeping' in your normally clean bladder. They have to come from somewhere and the most common is from the urethra. This the tube that carries urine to the outside. The outside of your body is covered by these microbes and somehow, a group moved up the urethra into the bladder.
