There is nothing stating what a cause variable is. A casual relation between two events exists if the occurrence of the first event causes the outcome of the other. This is also known as cause and effect.

What are the roles of variables in the qualitative design?

I want to know the role of variables in the qualitative research design Independent Variable: It is the variable presumed to affect the dependent variable. It is the variable manipulated by the researcher to create an effect on the dependent variable. It is also known as "the treatment." Dependent Variable: The presumed effect that changes with a change in the independent variable. The "effect," "outcome," "response," or where one looks to see the influence of the independent variable. Extraneous Variable: Variable other than the independent variable that may bear any effect on the behavior of the subject being studied: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extraneous_variable Research Variable: May be used when the study is observing or measuring variables without looking at cause-effect relationships. May be used when there is no specific expectation of one variable influencing the other. The variables' definitions do not change, only the design. And where you cannot QUANITFY the data, you QUALIFY it, describe it, find common major themes, and classify it.

Does the dependent variable depend on the independent variable?

Yes, I think it does. Because when the independent variable changes the dependent variable relies on it.

What is a operational variable?

Operational variable refers to how a specific variable is measured and studied.

Which research method assesses how well one variable predicts another without specifying a cause and effect relationship between the variables?

Correlational research

Sentence for manipulated variable?

In an experiment, the manipulated variable is also known as the independent variable. An example of the term "manipulated variable" in a sentence would be, "The scientist sincerely hoped that the manipulated variable would produce a reaction in the dependent variable."

Is the variable that you purposely changed?

The independent variable is the variable that you cause to vary during an experiment.

What is the variable that is purposely changed?

The independent variable is the variable that you cause to vary during an experiment.

What variable is unchanging?

In an experiment, your control variable will not be caused to vary by the experiment. Think of 'cause and effect'. The independent variable is the cause, the result is the effect, and the dependent variable is the one that you leave to be changed by the experiment.

What is the relationship between a manipulated variable and a responding variable?

Causes of law of variable proportions

Is cause the independent variable?

Not necessarily. The independent variable may have no effect at all.

What is a factor that changes in an experiment due to the changes in the independent variable?

Changes in the independent variable will cause changes in the dependent variable.

What is Unchanging?

In an experiment, your control variable will not be caused to vary by the experiment. Think of 'cause and effect'. The independent variable is the cause, the result is the effect, and the dependent variable is the one that you leave to be changed by the experiment.

Independent and dependent?

a independent variable is a variable changed in a science experiment, and a dependent variable is the result according to the cause of the change in the independent variable.

Is customer satisfaction is a dependent variable?

Well, that depends on whether 'customer satisfaction' is the cause or the effect in your analysis. If say, 'prompt attention to customer problems' were the causative (independent) variable, then the 'customer satisfaction' would be the result/outcome/dependent variable. However you could have had a study in which 'customer satisfaction' was the cause/independently variable, and 'likelihood of repeat business' were the result/outcome/dependent variable. You must distinguish between CAUSE and EFFECT. Cause is the independent variable that creates the Effect observed.

What is a variable that is used is a independent variable?

An independent variable is the variable of the experiment that the dependent variable depends on. For example, in an experiment testing the effects of soil quality on a plant's growth, the dependent variable would be the plant's growth and the independent variable would be the quality of the soil.
