The setters in the dog world do both kill and retrieve. They set or crouch behind prey and bring it down. The retrievers get the prey after the master shoots it. The pointers point to the prey for the hunters to shoot. The spaniels flush out prey for the master to shoot in the air.

95% of dogs can swim. Cocker spaniels do swim but were naturally bred to hunt birds and small mammal's. Sometimes, if there is a duck in the water the cocker spaniel will leap and do whatever it takes to get that prey. So if you have a cocker spaniel and you find it attacking a bird in the backyard or trying to catch a squirrel this is perfectly normal.
The king parrot is often eaten by birds of prey including hawks and eagles. It is also sometimes prey for cats and dogs along with humans who capture them as pets or to sell.
A mongoose has many prey's such as road runners, bunnies, and more. There is a particular animal or should I say reptile that is a mongoose prey that is a strong snake... a king cobra.
They can divide their jaws there where we have the upper lip. They can only gradually swallow the whole prey.
