Keep in mind that not all silver dollars have the CC mintmark. If your coin does have a CC mintmark it would be above the DO in dollar on the back of the coin.
Look on the reverse and then look above the DO in dollar. If you see the two letters CC you have a silver dollar from the Carson City mint. This was the mintmark that the Carson City mint used.

There were no Trade Dollars made in 1882 with a CC mintmark -- must be a counterfeit. It's a Morgan dollar, the first American eagle was struck in 1986. Check the back of the coin under the eagle to see if it has a mintmark, it can only be an O, S or CC, it may not have a mintmark but it makes a difference in value. There's more information at the Related Question.
If you have a 1895 Morgan with a Carson-City mintmark it's fake. 1893 was the last CC Morgan dollar.
