What is a cheat to get a unicorn in The Sims 3?

Unicorns usually appear near fishing spots and a misty white vapour shows where the Unicorn is when you view your town. You can only adopt a Unicorn into your household if your ''Wildlife Friend'' skill is high (from interacting with deer/wild horses etc.) or if you are Best Friends with multiple pets.

At around 8PM-5AM there is a 40% chance that a unicorn will appear around a fishing spot. You will know if one does when in map mode there will be a mist. zoom in and get your sim there. You will have to befriend the unicorn before giving it the offer to join your household. It will say no until you have 3 "BFF's" (Cats, Dogs, Horses or Sims) Once you have them then it should accept your offer. Don't worry. Ever time a unicorn spawns then it should be that same one until you tame it, so its easier. Hope this helped :D

There is no cheat known yet to find the unicorn, but they appear after midnight at fishing ponds. On the map, if a unicorn has appeared, there will be a little beam of light that kind of looks like a cloud. If you want to have a unicorn by cheat, when you find it, (and your sim doesn't have to be awake to do this), pull up the cheat window (ctrl-shift-c) and type in, (testingcheatsenabled true) exactly like that. After that, press enter and shift-click the unicorn. There will be an option to 'add to family' and you can have a unicorn. When you have added the unicorn to your family, click on the unicorn and you can make it go home to your place. Make sure you have a horse box, hay, a water trough, and some racing posts, because your unicorn is most likely to want them (at least from my experiences). If you switch back to your sim, you can click the unicorn and there is an option to rename it if you wish. If there is a gate around your house and the unicorn can't get in, just click somewhere in your yard and click, 'teleport here'. Then, when your sim wakes up, a unicorn will be in the yard!

You can follow these steps, though this process may take a while (depending on how quickly you complete the first step):

1. While playing any family, find a Unicorn

2. Befriend it, and offer to adopt it

3. Edit its appearance (NOTE: do not exit out of the Create a Sim window just yet)

4. Next to the Unicorn's image at the bottom of the screen click the icon with the three dots (...)

5. Roll over the options, and select the one that says 'Save Sim to bin'

6. Press the check mark button to save you changes

As of now, when in Create a Sim at the start of your game, you can retrieve the Unicorn from the Premade Sims bin.
