Well, it totally depends on the occasion. They were normal clothes like any body else, and they have fashions and trends that they go through too. For festivals, Kimonos or Yukatas are worn (a yukata is pretty much the same as a kimono, but made out of lighter fabric, such as cotton, for the summer).
