I suppose it is possible. What defines something as a living entity can vary. We use to think that life could not exist without sunlight, where as when we used a submarine to discover the wreckage of the Titanic we discovered life plant life at that depth where sunlight could not reach. Ultimately what I am trying to get at is that "facts" can change. Pluto was thought to be a planet, then scientists later argued this. Our understanding of what a living entity can change as we continue to understand more and more about the world around us. It is very well possible that the sun could be a living entity; it eventually dies just as we humans do, it has an enormous energy signature, where as we as humans have our own energy signature - although the composistion is different, that cannot eliminate the possibilty of it to be a living entity. I suppose it comes down to what we classify as "living". Does living mean there is a consciousness invovled or simply something that can respond and/or adapt to a given enviornment. At this point it is over speculation but I firmly beleive that it is very well possible, we as a species are still very young and as time progresses, so will our understanding of such things. The earth could very well potentially be a biolgoical entity aswell! It is such a shame but I doubt that neither of us will be around to witness some of the greatest technological advancements of our species. I always thought about how cool it would be to explore space.
